Consuming Of Vitamin C Foods
By Sam Cyrus

Natural energy of vitamin C foods is necessary to enhance the forces of the organism. Vitamin C foods acquire much importance for the people who have ruined their health by having an addiction to alcohol, drugs, or smoking. In such cases, the organism requires much care and nourishment, consequently the consumption of vitamin C foods has to be substantial. It is also right that nourishment of the organism with vitamins is correct and even is a prerequisite at any age. It is a mistake to believe that once you are an adult that you no longer need vitamins. They are absolutely indispensable as they supply the much needed support and refreshment to the organism. In these cases, the vitamin C foods take a significant role to keep healthy.

Being fresh of the vitamin C foods is more important because vitamin C is highly sensitive to air, water, and temperature. About 25% of the vitamin C in vegetables can be lost simply by blanching (boiling or steaming the food for a few minutes). This same degree of loss occurs in the freezing and unthawing of vegetables and fruits. Cooking of vegetables and fruits for longer periods of time (10-20 minutes) can result in a loss of over one half the total vitamin C content. When fruits and vegetables are canned and then reheated, only 1/3 of the original vitamin C content may be left. Consumption of the vitamin C foods in their fresh, raw form is the best way to maximize vitamin C intake.

We consume a great number of products everyday but it is crucial to know which products are the most useful and which products are prerequisites for our organism. Vitamin C foods are among the most important products for a human organism. We can come across foods and products rich in vitamin C quite often. However, special attention has to be paid to fruits which are the most valuable when it comes to vitamin C content.

The best sources of vitamin C foods are include broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, strawberries, kale, lemons, tomatoes, oranges, grapefruit, limes, papaya, kiwifruit, pineapples, lettuce, watermelon, fennel, peppermint and parsley.

As you know, an overdose of vitamins as well as a deficiency of them can cause certain unpleasant and undesirable effects such as scurvy and sometimes cancer of some of your organs. Well, the best way to not have these problems and diseases is to eat vitamin C foods. The first thing that is taken by all vitamin C rich products is taken up by fruits with vitamin C. Most fruits that are eaten daily are very rich in vitamin C. In comparison with pills having vitamin C and different vitamin C injections, vitamin C foods are the best source of the vitamin C. The vitamins that are contained in fruits absorb more easily in our organism. Besides, it is cheaper and easier to consume daily.
